CLARION – Since former Gov. Tom Corbett enacted impact fees on Marcellus Shale drilling in 2012, every municipality has received portions of the more than $1 million in funds awarded to Clarion County over the past three years.

Clarion County Commissioner Wayne Brosius explained that the money is distributed to the townships and boroughs directly from the state, and the amounts are determined with the help of a formula.
