A third compressed natural gas filling station is planned for Northeastern Pennsylvania with the help of a grant from the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
Southwestern Energy NGV Services LLC will build the station open to the public along state Route 6 in Tunkhannock Township, Wyoming County using natural gas produced in the Marcellus Shale.
The CFA said it awarded a $725,503 grant for the project estimated to cost $1.8 million. The station will be located adjacent to Mountain Energy Service’s water pumping station and the company’s fleet of vehicles will serve as the anchor vendor for Southwestern.
