Daniel Dalton

President and Chief Executive Officer

As the President and Chief Executive Officer of Keystone Clearwater, Dan Dalton manages all aspects of Keystone’s water-transfer support services, water transfer pipeline construction, transportation and other water transfer services. Mr. Dalton has developed extensive experience in hydrogeology, environmental permitting, and various other geotechnical applications through the completion of many high-profile oil & gas and water infrastructure assignments while employed as a geotechnical consultant.

Currently, Mr. Dalton provides direct oversight and management of all water-transfer, pipeline engineering, construction management, transportation and all other water transfer projects and operations for Keystone Clearwater throughout the Appalachian Basin.

Highlights from a sample of projects managed and completed by Mr. Dalton include the following:

  • Turnkey water-transfer services for several multi-national Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Companies operating in the Appalachian Basin.
  • Planning, Design, & Construction of a 9-mile fresh-water pipeline and water transfer system for a Pennsylvania-based Oil & Gas Operator near Williamsport, PA.
  • The permitting, planning, development, and operations of four SRBC-permitted water intake locations in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Dan Dalton lives and works out of Keystone Clearwater’s headquarters located in Hershey, PA. Dan graduated from West Chester University in 2006 with a B.S. in Geology.

 
Michael Katz

Michael Katz

Chief Financial Officer

Michael Katz is the Chief Financial Officer for Keystone Clearwater Solutions and is responsible for all financial and accounting activities of the company including the direction and operating control of the finance, accounting, banking, insurance, human resources, information technology, and other administrative and operating functions. Michael brings 30 years of leadership and experience to Keystone Clearwater and most recently served as Vice President of Finance and CFO for the Massaro Construction Group (MCG). MCG provides diversified construction services including commercial general contracting, construction management, insurance restoration, design/build, real estate, and development. Michael also helped facilitate and manage five-fold revenue growth and international expansion as CFO and Treasurer for Sedgman, a company whose core business was design and construction of coal preparation plants and material handling facilities. Michael started his financial career with a regional public accounting firm in Pittsburgh.

Michael is a Certified Public Accountant and has served six years on the Board of Examiners for the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program helping organizations achieve best in class results in leadership, strategy, customer engagement, knowledge management and analysis, workforce management, and operations. Michael currently or recently served on the Board of Directors of the Construction Financial Management Association, Financial Executives International, Keystone Alliance for Performance Excellence, and Western PA Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Michael Katz lives in Mt. Lebanon, PA and works out of Keystone Clearwater’s corporate office located in Southpointe, PA. Michael graduated from Miami University (Oxford, OH) in 1983 with a B.S. in Business Administration.

 
Adam R McDonough

Adam R McDonough

Senior Vice President, Operations

Adam R McDonough joined Keystone Clearwater Solutions in September 2016 as senior vice president of operations, bringing more than 30 years of diverse management experience and a skill-set encompassing leadership of fiscal management, marketing, sales, and operations.  Adam transferred to Keystone from its parent company American Water where he spent 28 years in a variety of progressive management and executive positions. For the past four years Adam was the business unit leader for American Water’s efforts in the emerging shale energy space focused on both regulated and adjacent market-based opportunities which ultimately led to American Water’s acquisition to Keystone in July 2015. A demonstrated critical and creative thinker, Adam is a motivational leader who quickly establishes credibility to develop and execute strategies that fuel customer satisfaction and drives accountability in the attainment of goals and objectives.

Adam’s prior work at American Water included five years as the business unit leader for the company’s multi-site operations and management in the municipal and industrial water and wastewater with particular strength in solving problems and creating solutions that add value and improve operational efficiency for both the company and the customer.  Adam was also instrumental in the early stage implementation of American Water’s Military Services Group as its business unit leader for four years with responsibilities for new business development, transition, implementation and on-going operations for Department of Defense Utility Privatization (DoD UP) contracts across the United States.

Prior to American Water, Adam has an additional 6 years experience in supervisory and management positions in the specialty chemical and the full service restaurant industries.   He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in chemistry from California University of Pennsylvania.  He also has completed significant advance course work in chemistry and engineering and numerous management and leadership courses.

 
Jeffrey Wehler

Jeffrey Wehler

Senior Vice President of Business Performance

Jeff Wehler currently serves as Keystone Clearwater’s Senior Vice President of Business Performance, supporting Keystone’s Water Transfer, Construction, and Transportation business lines in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. Jeff is predominantly focused on business development, strategic growth, and corporate and financial optimization initiatives for the Company. Jeff initially joined Keystone Clearwater during January 2013 as the Director of Business Development, managing all aspects of Keystone’s business development, sales, and marketing functions. Jeff has developed significant experience in managing the planning, design, and development of Keystone’s water transfer projects, including pipeline design, intake development, water-transfer services, and transportation.

Prior to joining Keystone, Jeff was a Vice President with M&T Bank’s Commercial Banking Group located in Philadelphia, PA. During his time at M&T, Jeff managed a portfolio of corporate customers and helped develop M&T’s entry into the Greater Philadelphia marketplace. Jeff has developed significant experience in financial analysis and credit underwriting. While at M&T, Jeff represented his clients in financing acquisitions, recapitalizations, and other traditional corporate finance transactions.

Jeff Wehler lives in Sewickley, PA and works out of Keystone Clearwater’s corporate office located in Southpointe, PA. Jeff graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in 2005 with a B.A. in Business Administration.

 
Chris Cramer

Chris Cramer

Vice President of Water Transfer

Chris Cramer serves as Vice President of Keystone Clearwater’s Water Transfer business and is responsible for Keystone’s water management operations throughout the Appalachian basin. Prior to his current role, Chris served as Keystone’s Managing Director for Central Pennsylvania providing critical water management service to exploration and production companies throughout Pennsylvania. Throughout his career with Keystone, Chris has maintained an outstanding history of delivering excellent customer service, building sustained client relations, and execution of critical water management projects.

Prior to joining Keystone, Chris served in a management role for Western Pump & Dredge, where Chris was responsible for water delivery and water management in support of complex shale gas development projects. Chris maintains a background in construction management and has maintains over 20 years of direct, management experience.

Chris lives in Dubois, Pennsylvania with his wife and family and is based out of Keystone’s office in Southpointe, PA.

 
Andrew Strassner, P.E.

Andrew Strassner, P.E.

VP of Construction and Engineering

Andrew Strassner is the Vice President of Engineering & Construction for Keystone Clearwater Solutions, where he manages water infrastructure design and construction activities.  Prior to joining Keystone Clearwater Solutions, Andrew served as the Water Infrastructure Design & Operations Lead for Noble Energy’s Marcellus Business Unit, where he was accountable for the oversight of the design, construction, and operation of Noble’s water transmission and storage facilities.  Andrew was also responsible for developing SOPs and best practices to manage and optimize water infrastructure and operations, including the implementation of operation and maintenance DRS, MOC, and CMMS processes. 

Prior to joining Noble, Andrew gained valuable consulting experience assisting various clients with water treatment, environmental remediation, stormwater management permitting & design, construction management, evaluating and permitting water supply locations, evaluating and permitting waste disposal options, preparing SPCC and PPC plans, designing storage facilities, managing wetland delineation projects associated with pipelines and drilling pads, and managing water and soil sampling programs. 

Andrew lives in Malvern, PA and works out of Keystone Clearwater’s corporate office located in Hershey, PA.  Andrew graduated from Penn State University in 2003 with a B.S. in Environmental Systems Engineering and a Minor in Watersheds and Water Resources. 

 
Jay Heckman

Jay Heckman

Vice President, Transportation Services

Jay Heckman is the Vice President of Keystone Clearwater’s Transportation Operations, managing water hauling and heavy haul services. Jay brings to Keystone over 30 years of technical and managerial experience, spending much of his career in a management role for Snap-On Tools, a manufacturer’s representative for the world’s best hand tools and equipment. Later, Mr. Heckman founded Competition Converters, a manufacturer of high performance torque converters or use with automatic transmissions in drag racing and other performance applications.

Jay joined Keystone Clearwater during 2010 taking on the role to manage Keystone’s field operations as a result of his strong background in field management, customer service, and mechanical expertise. Since joining Keystone, Jay has been instrumental in the growth and development of Keystone’s operations providing direct management of many high profile water transfer projects, including long-range permanent pipeline construction, on-pad water-transfer services, and fresh-water intake site development and installation.

Mr. Heckman studied at Lebanon Valley College and Williamsport Area Community College, receiving his Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. After graduation, Jay served the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as an aircraft mechanic.  Presently, Jay lives with his wife in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.
